Description

Join a leading Lidar-research team. Help with new-systems science in a university-research environment. Participate in sharing technology-transfer benefits with industry. Develop cool stuff relating to advancing real-time virtual reality. Experience numerous professional growth opportunities for management and/or technical leadership. Be part of the team that caused Lidar to be recognized as a critical technology by the US government. Develop and employ computer-based analysis systems for Lidar data evaluation and enhancement.

Develop and employ simulation systems for evaluating Lidar-system performance. Work with senior leaders in developing new Lidar concepts. Develop and test designs for foliage-penetrating Lidar systems.


Requirements

Required: MS or higher in electrical engineering, physics, earth sciences, civil engineering, or related technical field. Good interpersonal skills. Good speaking and technical writing skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Desired: Experience with Lidar-systems processing software. Background in developing novel software for Lidar systems. Ability to publish technical work in highly regarded technical journals or other technical forums.
