Description

Job Description - Operations Analyst to support Submarine and Anti-Submarine Warfare assessments and Submarine Security Technology Programs. Duties - Analyze operational concepts for Undersea Warfare platforms and sensor systems. Develop and assess tactical and operational performance metrics. Provide technical contributions to Submarine Security Technology Program projects involved in analyses of submarine operations. Liaise with DoD personnel and sponsors to determine tasking priorities, respond to inquiries, etc. Organize and/or participate in related working groups and task forces.


Requirements

Required - MS/PhD in Math, Physics or Engineering. Strong analytical, operational, problem-solving and organizational skills. 10-15 years experience performing operational assessments. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in interacting with Navy/DOD personnel. Demonstrated initiative, motivation, flexibility and interest in working in a team environment. Ability and willingness to travel (i.e.; one 2-3 day trips per month and occasional week long tests). Willingness to work on a dynamic project and ability to prioritize a number of concurrent taskings. Must be eligible for DOD clearance requiring background investigation and/or polygraph examination. Desired - Prior experience working with or for the sea services (e.g., Navy or Coast Guard). Knowledge of or background in Undersea Warfare.
