Sodexo Facility Solutions division has partnered with The Mount Sinai Medical Center to provide management of their Engineering, Plant Operations, and Construction Departments. The Mount Sinai Medical Center is an academic medical institution in Manhattan that provides multiple specialty services to the surrounding area. As a function of this new partnership, Sodexo is seeking management positions at varying levels of responsibility. Sodexo is seeking a high level executive to oversee the Central Energy Plant. at a large tertiary care hospital ? 1100 beds with multiple campuses. The Director of Engineering 2 ? Plant Operations will oversee the operations and maintenance of the Central Energy Plant, Utility Management Program, and distribution of utilities to the Mount Sinai Medical Center enterprise. Daily operations include customer service, staff development, regulatory compliance (TJC, NEC, ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.), preventive and corrective maintenance, and the department operating & capital budgets. The Ideal candidate will have 5-7 years experience in managing a large Central Energy Plant in a tertiary care healthcare organization with multiple locations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and preferably in mechanical or electrical disciplines. CHFM is a plus.

Directs all maintenance operations at a health care facility or a group of facilities with a managed volume of at least $3 million. Manages all aspects of routine maintenance at a hospital or system including management of the physical plant, electrical delivery systems, medical gas delivery systems, emergency generators, and physical plant troubleshooting and project management. Manages the engineering staff including Operations Managers, Engineering Directors at smaller units under their direct supervision, tradespersons, day laborers, electricians, painters, plant engineers, general contractors, journeymen and electrical engineers. Manages the general safety of the hospital and acts as the designated safety officer for the hospital. Supervises general contractors hired to assist the hospital with renovations, new construction or any modifications to the existing structure(s).Position Posting Title: Director of Engineering 2 - Plant Operations of Central Energy Plant
